my piece of heaven-update and pics
All is well here in the Wright house. Little Miss Tegan is now a week and 5 days old! No one was joking when they told me they dont stay little for long. Tegan already looks so different than that little girl I held at the hospital. She is so beautiful and already has such a little personality. I am so very much in love! Zach and I have never been happier. We had a bit of an issue last week with her weight. After I had her she lost 10% of her body weight, by the time she had her first check up(2 days after we left the hossy) she was down 15% of her body weight..an entire pound smaller than she was at birth. I was crying hysterically when I found out how much she had lost!! The pedi wanted me to supplement with formula to help get her weight up, but that only lasted a few feedings. Tegan hated hated hated formula! It was hell to get her to take it, and when she did she would puke it up. So I decided to go back to strict breast milk and then she ate away with no problems. Two days after her first pedi apt we had to go back again to check her weight and my little stinker gained a whole 8oz back!!! yay for mommy's breast milk!!! I am pumping every two hours, it still amazes me that I can make milk! Tegan eats about 2-2 1/2 ounces every 2-3 hours. She isn't on a feeding schedule..I am a firm believer of feeding a baby when they are hungry and letting them eat until they are content. She seems to have a bit of a cold in her eyes :( I am keeping her eyes very clean and putting drops of breast milk in them and they are clearing up quite nicely (breast milk is the best med!). She goes back on the 8th of december for another check up. Before I know it my baby will be a month old! wow! I am doing well. I healed very fast from the csection. I am a bit tender to the touch but I am back to my old routine. The only complaint I have is the nagging ache in my back from the spinal..the nurse said that discomfort can last for a few months! I am already about back to my pre pregnancy weight, only 4 more pounds to drop!! I clearly dont look it due to my belly still shrinking and such but seeing the numbers on the scale made me happy haha! I think the last 4 pounds is really my boobs lmao! Here are a few new pics of my miracle for you all to see. She is getting soo big!

Tegan Marie is here!!!
Tegan Marie Was Born Wednesday November 19th at 10:41pm. She weighed 7lbs 11oz and was 18.5 inches long! She is such a little blessing :) I still can't believe she is here and that she is mine.
I finally have a bit of time to sit down and write a blog. So many have asked questions so I am going to take the time to answer them now :) Tegan has a clean butt, a full belly and is passed out next to daddy.
It is crazy to think that my little girl will be a week old tomorrow, and even crazier to think that she wasn't supposed to be here until yesterday!!!! I was trying soo hard to keep her in until my scheduled csection date of nov 24th, but even with bed rest we didn't quite make it. Tegan was ready to come out now, and honstly I was too. I woke up the morning of the 19th not feeling all too well. I had noticed that Tegan wasn't moving as much as she usually does, I was starting to get worried so I ate some sugar and protien to try to wake her up..no luck. I decided to take a shower which sometimes wakes her up and still no luck..so after alot of pondering I decided to take the hour drive to labor and delivery to be sure she was ok. In the middle of the drive there I started having regular contractions, by the time I got to the hospital my contractions were 2-3 mins apart and getting stronger. We got there around 5pm and thankfully my dr was on call!!! He came in and thought that maybe Tegan turned head down so he did a quick ultra sound and found that my little turkey was still breech. I got admitted and told that we would have her either that night or early early the next morning! I couldn't believe it I have never been soo excited in my life!!!! They hooked me up to the IV and filled me full of tons of fluid while I waited. I ended up having my little miracle at 10:41!! That was the happiest minute of my life!
We were in the hospital until saturday afternoon, while there Tegan lost 10% of her body weight before we left the hospital. The nurses all say that it is because of all the fluids they filled me with before the csection. She now weighs 6lbs 11oz, a whole pound smaller than she was a birth. She eats alot and is a peeing and pooping machine so she will be back up to her birth weight in no time. She had her first dr's apt yesterday. She is doing very well, her billie level is down to a 7.
My milk came in two days after her birth, and boy did it come in! So far I can pump 6 onces in 15 mins so I think I am doing pretty good! I am amazed that I am making milk haha! I am pumping and bottle feeding her seems how she hasn't been latching on too well. She gets too mad and doesn't want to work for her food so I felt it was the best thing to do. As long as she gets the breast milk that is all that matters. I have tried pumping a bit to soften up my breast and make it easier for her, but even then she wont take it. She gets that close to me and smells my skin and hears my heart beat and she passes out lol. I actually like pumping and bottle feeding for the fact that I know how much she is eating which is best with trying to make her gain weight anyhow.
I suppose I will end my book here for now and get to the pictures that you are all dying to see. I think she is such a doll, but of corse mothers always think their baby is the cutest baby ever.

my last belly painting
In the excitment of the upcoming holiday Zach and I painted my belly one last time for christmas. We had a few ideas but I decided that I wanted a raindeer with my belly button being the red nose haha. I love getting my belly painted (other than the hour of sitting on the floor with my legs asleep and back hurting) Tegan always plays and kicks daddy while Zach is painting lol it is their bonding time. Enjoy the pictures :) I love having a painted belly..it helps cover the stretch marks haha, screw coco butter! I am proof that it doesn't work!! It is all in the genes, thanks mom!
Today I am 38 weeks!!! This is my last week pregnant with my little girl! Only 6 more days to go and she will be here :) My nst and ultra sound went well. My placenta still looks good and my fluid level is still awesome. Little miss Tegan is still breech, she is laying sideways in a V shape. Her head is under my right rib,her butt is down and her legs are up on the left side of my belly button. Tegan wouldn't show her face to us yet again lol, we got to see those cute little lips and nose..that seems to be all she wants to share with us for now. I have been having dreams that I am in the OR and the dr holds up my baby and says "it's a boy" and I lay there and cry wondering what I am going to do with a boy and nothing for him. So I asked if Tegan's legs were open and thankfully she was nice enough to show mommy and daddy that she is still a girl and that I dont have to worrie anymore. The nst went well, Tegan was sleeping so the nurse tried shaking my belly and I seriously could have punched her! I have a giant head under my ribs so shaking tegan means bashing that head into my ribs, I thought I was going to die! Not to mention Tegan sleeps like her daddy and slept right through it. So the nurse brings in this buzzer and puts it on my belly and nearly scared Tegan to death lol I thought she was going to jump through my belly! After that she was wide awake for the rest of the nst. She is still doing well and her heart is still beating strong and responding to her movements as it should be. I am doing great, bedrest seems to really be helping. I didn't have a single contraction while at the dr and I have had a total of two all day. We are getting ready for Tegan's big day, it will be here before we know it. I have a list of everything I want cleaned and taken care of before her birth and Zach is slowly marking it off for me. I dont know what I would do without him! He really is the best!!!! I feel horrible and worthless sitting here watching others do my cleaning but I have to remember that I am doing it for Tegan. Here are my 38 week belly shots, I look WAY bigger this week than I did last week..and I feel bigger too haha! Here is also a picture of tegan's girlie parts and the little bit of hair that she has on that big head of hers :) I can't wait to see her!!!!

wow, what a thought.
So I sit here with my mind boggled thinking about how this time next monday I will be at the hospital awaiting the arrival of my Tegan Marie. It is crazy to think that in 7 days my pregnancy will be over and I will have my miracle in my arms. Seven days! I am so anxious, nervous, excited..hmm I dont even think there are words to explain how I feel. I can't wait to have her here with Zach and I, I can't wait to hold her and look into those beautiful innocent eyes and tell her how much I love her. This little girl is our everything and I am so ready to meet her. Tomorrow I will be 38 weeks pregnant, it is crazy to think that this is my last week with that giant head under my ribs! I have my nst tomorrow morning, hopefully I am doing well so I get to come home otherwise she may just be here tomorrow. I have been having a lot of contractions lately and if I am dialated at all they will take her. As much as I want her here now I know those few extra days in my womb make a big difference on those little lungs. We are beyond ready for her to get home. All of her things are clean and ready to go, her room is all done and awaiting her arrival, the house is decorated for the holiday everything is perfect. Of corse the nesting in me isn't happy because I can't get on my hands and knees and clean like a freak and it is killing me! My in laws are going to come over and help Zach clean everything on saturday so that everything is clean and perfect before we leave. Monday is coming up fast!!!!! Here are pictures of Tegan's room and the hat I made her while on bedrest, I've never made a hat before and I had no idea what I was doing lol so dont laugh too hard. Tomorrow I will post how the nst went, and we are painting my belly one last time tomorrow so be on the look out for pictures!
here is little miss Tegan's bedroom. Zach and I made and painted nearly everything in her room. the only things we bought were the crib and changing table, and the rocking chair was given to us.
here is the hat I made for her.

NST
Sorry I didn't update as soon as I got home from my NST. I was soo tired! We hit BK on the way home so I could enjoy one of my last whoppers and then we came home and I took a nice 2 hour nap. The nst and ultra sound went well. My fluid level is outstanding and my placenta seems to still be doing its job. No new pictures today, Tegan didn't want to show us anything! We did get to see the top of her head and her hair, and lets just say she will be coming out just like her daddy did...hardly any hair!!! lol she wont be born with the dark head full of hair that I was born with that is for sure! She is still breech, the ultra sound tech said that there isn't much room in there for her at all anymore. My Urine was wonderful like always and my blood pressure was 96/54 which is the lowest it has been in my entire pregnancy! Tegan's heart is still responding to her movements as it should be and she is still nice and healthy and not in any distress :) I only had two contractions while hooked up, bed rest is helping slow them down alot. I go back on tuesday and friday for my last two nst's then the following monday tegan will be here! only 10 more days to go..actually 9 1/2 now :)

NST results and 37 week belly shots
I just got home from my non stress test. I almost didn't get to come home at all!! All the times that I would whine that Tegan was pushing way out causing me pain wasn't Tegan, it was me contracting! lol my nst showed that I am having them every eight minutes! Boy do I feel stupid!!!! I saw the on call dr and got checked and I wasn't dialated so I got sent home. I am now on strict bedrest until my csection. If my contractions become five minutes apart I am to go into labor and delivery to be checked again. My ultra sound showed everything was still well, my fluid level was great and of corse Tegan is still breech lol. Tegan is doing wonderful and was moving ALL over during the nst, I thought she was going bust through the moniters a few times. She was reacting to movement just as she should have been and there were no signs of being in distress. My blood pressure was 100/60 and I have gained a total of 29lbs. I fell in love with the on call doc!! He sat there and explained everything to Zach and I and took away so much worry about the placenta issue. My placenta is calcifying (aging faster than normal) which made us very nervous about Tegan's well being. My dr never explained anything to us about it so I expressed my concerns to the dr I saw today and he made us feel so much better! He said it appears to be aging faster but looks aren't everything, function is what we need to look at. Just as a 90 year old man can be old and look old but be the healthiest man around. My placenta is doing very well, Tegan's activity and growth are proof of that. They are keeping a close eye on me to be safe but he said that as of now everything is perfect! My csection is scheduled for Nov 24th at 9:30 am, I am to be there at 7:30! yay!!! Only 13 more days until I get to meet my little miracle! Here are my 37 week belly shots along with the ultra sound picture we got of her today.

little miss Tegan isn't so little-ob update
I am finally home, I'm sorry it took so long but we had a few other stops to make while in rockford. Everything is going well. I somehow lost two pounds, I suppose that is what happens when you dont eat whoppers every day. My blood pressure was 104/60 which is in my normal range. Tegan did turn lol but I suppose when I asked for turn vibes I should have asked for you to send turn head down vibes lol clearly the vibes got conffused. Tegan decided to turn..but she turned totally in the breech position! Her giant head is painfully in my ribs now causing pain when I sit up straight. She is a very big baby!!! Right now she is measuring in at 7lbs which puts her in the 83 percentile for weight, and her head is measuring at 39weeks 3 days gestation lol. I knew she would have the infamous Wright head like her daddy and her uncles.
My ultra sound showed the my placenta is aging faster than it should be. Dr Bhattacharya wants to do a csection Monday November 24th but I have to wait for scheduling to call me on monday to know an exact day and time. I have to go in twice a week now for non stress tests due to Tegan's size, position and my placenta issue. I have my next appointment on tuesday morning. Tegan will be here in two weeks!!!! YAY! Im so ready to meet my little girl! We were able to see more than her ear today, we still didn't get any clear face shots or anything due to her position but we were able to see our baby girl and get some pictures of her. She has her mommy's nose and her daddy's lips..she is simply beautiful. I will update you all on monday with the set date and time for my csection.
