22 weeks

I am 22 weeks one day pregnant!!! Im looking rather round! Tegan is so so active, my little sister got to feel her the other night hehe auntie Jessica was so proud to feel her little Tegan! Sleeping at night is starting to get harder and harder thanks to the little one :) Tegan is still laying sideways so it makes things a bit uncomfy at times. I tend to cuddle up on my left side with my body pillow but there have been a few nights that I have tried and I feel a little lump..I look all over and there is nothing in the bed, I try to lay on my left side again and the lump is there..hahah it is Tegans big head lmao! She did that again this morning and I just layed in bed and laughed. I am doing well, I have been having horrible charlie horses in the middle of the night! I tend to sleep with my legs bent and up towards my body, so when I stretch my legs out straight and the blood gets flowing holy leg cramps! Eating is getting easier and easier(even though I was puking my brains out last night), I am always starving to death it seems. Everything is going well! Only 17 more days until my baby shower, Im soooo excited!!!!

21 weeks

Today I am 21 weeks 2 days pregnant! Im sorry I didn't post my belly shot on tuesday..many of you made it known that I did lmao. I am doing wonderful! I am to the point in my pregnancy that I am ALWAYS starving, I actually cried my eyes out the other night after dinner because I was still hungry and nothing sounded good and I ate all the green beans. I am gaining weight right on track, Im up a whole 10 pounds!! It is so wierd to know that I have gained ten pounds, thankfully I am only gaining it my belly and boobs..the rest of my body looks just as it did before pregnancy. I had my OB apt today, everything went well my blood pressure was 110/60. Dr B felt so horrible about the ultra sound issue last week that he brought in the little portable one for us so we could see our little girl :) I really love my ob! Tegan was kicking me soo hard today too lmao! She is still laying sideways in my belly which is why her kicks are always on my right side. She has developed definate patterns that I notice. She is always active around 7-8am (when daddy comes home) then around 2-4pm it is her crazy time where she does her little workouts lmao then around dinner she is back to bouncing then at 11pm she is kicking mommy again (I think she gets excited for bedtime stories hehe) I have my next appointment on the 25th of August!!!

Here are my belly shots that some of you have been dying for lol. My belly button is starting to pop out! The entire top portion of my belly button is now out..only a matter of time and it just may be all out :) oh and notice the small purple stretch marks on my side towards my back..I knew they would find my belly..after all my boobs can't take them all.

Zach and I had to run to walmart today to pick up kitty litter and more white craft paint for me so I didn't use his good paint..while there Zach saw that they finally had all letters to spell out Tegan so he grabbed them to paint. We came home and were feeling all excited and crafty. Zach cut a piece of wood for me and stole some nobs off of some old drawers we had in the basement so I could make my decrative hanger for tegan's wall to hang the paintings we made on. I had bought a "believe" sign to go above tegan's hutch, sadly they only had it in black so today we painted it white and added in pink and green polka dots or corse! We painted her letters and hung them on the wall of her crib..I nearly cried seeing her name hung above the crib..that is my little girls room..aw! I also made Tegan's woobie using the piece of my wedding dress silk that I had saved (for those that dont remember my dress got ruined in a flood earlier this year, I was able to save two pieces). I think Tegan is super excited about everything in her room because she was kicking me up a storm today! omg haha I ate a jalepeno from our garden today and while I was eating it Tegan was kicking me really really hard lol zach got to feel her kick again..he always gets soo excited to feel her! I can't wait to be big enough to put my belly on his back at night and have her kicks wake him up! haha!!!! Enough babbling..here are pics of all that we did today :)

a pointless trip..

I woke up this morning all excited for my ultra sound and my normal 20 week apt with my regular OB dr. We pulled Zach's mom out of work to take with us to see Tegan, drive the hour to the office to be told Im not having an ultra sound!!! I guess my insurance wouldn't cover another ultra sound even though my us last week was a fetal scan due to my afp results. Rather than my dr's office calling me to let me know there wouldn't be an ultra sound they had me drive up there. So I was pissed and in tears. I pee in my cup then go back to the room and wait and wait and wait, and they come in and tell me that my dr is doing a c-section today and isn't seeing people!!! OMG! Why the hell didn't they call me to let me know!! So I was sitting there crying and so upset about not being able to see Tegan, about dragging my mil out of work, about the hour drive for nothing..I was so heartbroken! I had to reschedule my apt for next thrusday for my regualr 20 week check up. grrr

20 weeks!

I can't believe I am 20 weeks, I am half way done with the pregnancy and with each day I become closer and closer to holding my sweet Tegan Marie! I can't wait to give birth to her and hear that first cry and look into her beautiful little eyes. It is crazy that I am 5 months pregnant and now into my 6th month!!! Tegan is such an active little thing, I feel her moving all the time!! She is really crazy at night when daddy calls us at 11. The other night when Zach and I were laying in bed Tegan was kicking up a storm so I had Zach hold my belly to see if he would be able to feel her move..a few seconds later she kicked really hard haha Zach was all excited and all smiles! lol it made his day. I am doing wonderful and finally not having issues gaining weight, I am now up 8 pounds since my pre pregnancy weight and my belly is getting bigger and bigger. I have my regular 20 week ob apt and ultra sound this friday, Im so excited to see my little girl again :) I will have more pictures to share then too!!!

busy busy busy...

Ever since I found out I was having a little girl I have been super busy making things for her room and such. I have been making bows for her little head, dolls, blocks, bookends, I covered some books in fabric for decor and the list goes on and on. I was trying to find things to put on Tegan's shelf and couldn't find anything in store or online so I came up with some ideas and made everything myself, and I am pleased. I will be able to tell Tegan that mommy made everything just for her, home made things seem to have more character and they always mean more. I have never made a doll before so dont laugh too hard, she is cute and ugly and scary all in one, but I sure tried haha. Here are pics of everything I have made so far...I will share everything I make along the way too...

The above picture is my very first attempt at making a big bow headband for little miss Tegan. It is a brown and white polka dot bow on a pink band..it isn't perfect and I had NO idea what I was doing but it was made with love :)

The headband means alot to me because early on in my pregnancy I had a dream in which saw myself leaving the hospital holding my little girl who was wearing this headband..that is when I thought I was having a little girl, and sure enough I AM!!

When you wake up at 4am to a screaming bladder and can't fall back to sleep because all you do is lay in bed and think of ribbon and bows! haha

home from the big us! sweet tart wasnt shy at all!!!

After a HORRIBLE night of heartburn and vommiting I awoke this morning all excited for my big ultra sound!! I always get so very excited to see my little miracle!!! My mommy called of work to go with Zach and I so she could see the baby, I am taking Zach's parents with us for my regular 20 week ultra sound next week.

Sweet Tart wasn't at all shy to show the goods. As soon as the tech touched my belly SHE flashed us!!! I am pregnant with a beautiful little GIRL!!! My sweet Tegan Marie!!!! She is as healthy as can be, she has all four chambers in her heart, both kidney's, all 10 fingers and toes, all her limbs measured right where they should..she is just beautiful!!!! Her heartbeat was at 149, and she now weighs 9 oz!! She was such a good little girl, everytime the ultra sound tech wanted to look at a certain body part she would move and show it lol..I was so proud of her! We left the dr's office all smiles and went to old navy to buy her first little girl outfits. Daddy went crazy and fell in love with all the girl clothes lol he picked out about 5 outfits. We then went to eat my 2 cheeseburgar meal at mc donalds lmao! After that we went to target to update our registry and we bought some headbands and a pink and white stripped changing pad cover! Im going to start making big bows today :) Im so in love! I can't wait to get her room all nice and pretty and girlified ;)

Today I got a phone call from the high risk ob office at the hospital, I have an appointment with them this wednesday at 3!!!! The day after tomorrow I have my big ultra sound!!!! The day after tomorrow I will know if I am pregnant with my little Tegan Marie or My Ezra Mykel!!!!!! Oh yay!!!! I am sooo soo excited! I can't wait for wednesday to get here!!! They are going to do a fetal scan so I get to see every inch of my little miracle :) I was once again offered an appointment with genetics and once again turned it down. I don't care if my sweet tart has ds or not..I wish they would get that through their heads.

I have already had a talk with sweet tart :) I told sweet tart that if it is a girl she has mommys permision this one time to show of her privates..and well if it is a wright boy he wont be able to hide his lmao!

meeting with dr...

Zach and I had our meeting with our dr this morning concerning my positive lab results. It was my quad screen that came back positive for downs syndrome. I have a 1 in 141 chance that Sweet Tart has down syndrome which is less then 1%. Women at the age of 20 should have a chance of 1 in 1,667 of having a baby with downs sydrome which is why I am considered at high risk. Due to my chance being greater then 1 in 200 I had to be offered a genetics counselor and an amnio which we turned both down..so we had to sign for that. My dr is going to get me in at the hospital to see the high risk ob for my 20 week ultra sound seems how they have better techs and better us machines, they are going to do a big fetal scan to look for more signs of DS..I was also told that I can keep my 20 week ulra sound with my dr as well so yay!!! My 20 week us with my dr got moved from the 14th to the 18th :( so I will have to wait a few more days to find out what Im having UNLESS the high risk ob can get me in sooner!!!!

AFP test results

I got a phone call from my OB's office this morning with the results to the AFP screening I had done at my last office visit. The results came back positive for the increased risk of having a baby with downs syndrom. We are scheduled to go in to talk to the dr on saturday and are getting reffered to a specialist that will do a big ultra sound to find out if our miracle does indeed have any special needs. It is said that 5% of all women will have a positve AFP screen and out of those women 90% will have healthy normal babies. I am not at all worried, and I will love my little miracle no matter what. The ultra sound is as far as I will go as far as testing goes, I will not to an amnio and I will not do a CVS, both of which have risks to the baby although the risks aren't great they are still ones that Im not willing to take. It makes no difference to me if my baby has downs syndrom or not, this baby is a gift and I will love him/her and raise him/her as the gift he/she is :) goodness I can't wait to know what I am having so I can say one of the other rather than he/she lol. Only 12 more days!!!

18 weeks!!!

wow!! So today I am 18 weeks with my little miracle!! It is amazing how fast the pregnancy is going :) 9 months sounds like eternity until you are pregnant then it seems to fly by so fast!! I am doing wonderful!!! Sweet Tarts movements are getting more and more noticable :) I can't help but look at my belly and smile. We listen to the heart beat every single morning before we get our of bed and every single night before we go to sleep..it is a wonderful way to ensure a wonderful day or a good nights sleep. I haven't thrown up in about 2 weeks now which is soo very wonderful, I finally have an appitite and can eat and thankfully I know the things that were making me throw up so I steer clear of them, chocolate being one of them! I can't seem to get enough of wheat puff cereal, somedays I will eat 3 bowls of it!

We are getting things all ready for the baby. Zach and I get so excited to buy things and get things ready for the baby :) Our dresser/changer came in last week so we got that all but together we just need to get the changing pad and cover along with a few other things to go on the hutch part of the combo unit. We finally got our stimulis check yesterday so we went and got the travel system!!! The original one I had picked out isn't avalible in stores and is now sold out everywhere online :( so I had to settle for my second choice. I love it! It is brown and turquoise with an adorable design and there are even polka dots on the headrest! It will be perfect for either a girl or a boy!

In 13 days we have our big ultra sound, hopefully sweet tart wont be so hyper so we can get a clear view of the goods lol. I can't wait to see if I am pregnant with my little Tegan or my Ezra!!!!
